Pavilion Energy Singapore (formerly Pavilion Gas), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pavilion Energy, has secured a total of 0.4 Million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) of liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply from BP for a tenure of 20 years starting from 2019. The LNG supply will come from BP’s stakes in Freeport LNG, Houston, United States and its global portfolio supply.
"We are delighted to collaborate closely with BP. The conclusion of a long-term agreement with BP, which involves LNG supply from the US, is another significant development for Pavilion Energy Singapore. This deal is part of our continued effort to enhance and diversify our LNG portfolio to deliver sustainable and competitive LNG supply to Asia," said Mr Seah Moon Ming, Chief Executive Officer, Pavilion Energy and Pavilion Energy Singapore.
Paul Reed, Chief Executive of BP Integrated Supply and Trading, said: “We welcome Pavilion Energy Singapore as a valued new partner in the LNG industry and are very pleased to conclude this agreement. We look forward to working closely with each other on its successful implementation. Supply will be from BP’s global portfolio of equity and merchant sources of LNG. This includes the Freeport LNG Project in the USA, where BP holds tolling rights and which is expected to reach a final investment decision before the end of 2014.”
Note: As of 1 October 2019, Pavilion Gas has been renamed to Pavilion Energy Singapore.
